Job summary

University of Bath is seeking a Domestic Assistant to support student living areas and ensure an excellent experience for accommodation users. The role is full-time (36.5 hours/week) with shifts typically 9:00–17:20 Mon–Thu and 9:00–17:10 Fri; weekend work on a rota basis and during the summer peak period is expected.

Experience in cleaning is beneficial but not essential; the role emphasizes high standards of customer service, teamwork, and a personable, friendly approach in a student-facing

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience or knowledge of working in a hotel or student accommodation is beneficial, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean accommodation areas
• Report maintenance issues
• Ensure health and safety guidance is followed
• Act as the face of the department by engaging with students and visitors
• Weekend work on rota, including summer peak periods
