A prestigious university in London seeks a candidate for a full-time role in the Student Lifecycle Events & Engagement team. You will help plan and implement events that enhance the student experience, particularly for Welcome to King's and Graduation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in event management and a passion for Higher Education. This role sits within the Student Lifecycle Events & Engagement team which delivers on a range of projects and events aimed at enhancing the student experience at both Welcome to King's and Graduation. Welcome to King's aims to give a high quality and inclusive first experience for all incoming students. Graduation is a key programme of work that supports students to successfully transition to their next chapter.
We are part of the Students & Education Directorate, a collection of wide-ranging professional services in place to support King's students and their education. As a directorate we manage the student lifecycle from application to graduation and beyond, to ensure a coherent and seamless student experience and effective administrative processes, working closely with King's faculties to do so.
About the role:
This role sits within the Student Lifecycle Events & Engagement team which delivers on a range of projects and events aimed at enhancing the student experience at Welcome to King's and Graduation. Whilst the post-holder will be expected to help with the delivery of Graduations events 'on the day' and will be expected to work closely with the team who look after Graduation, they will not be responsible for the planning of Graduation ceremonies.
Welcome to King's supports over 16,000 students joining King's College London each year. The post holder will help lead on the planning, preparation, organisation, and implementation of Welcome to King's with the aim to provide a high-quality experience to new students. Working collaboratively with support services and faculties across the institution, the post holder will provide quality customer service for stakeholders, responding to enquiries competently and appropriately and continually seeking opportunities to enhance the student experience.

We support each other's events and projects and collaboration is a key aspect of our team ethos. We offer a flexible working structure with core hours in place, and a mixture of remote working and together as a team in our central London offices. During peak periods (July-September and December-January) additional days in the office will be required as standard.
Please be prepared to work flexibly during delivery times and note that some events and activities take place outside of normal working hours on evenings and weekends and/or require early start times. The Student Lifecycle Events & Engagement Team is also responsible for Graduation and as part of your role you will also be required to support delivery of these events which may also take place outside of normal working hours on weekdays.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), but we welcome applications from candidates seeking a flexible work pattern that covers our necessary service operating hours, 10am - 4pm.
