Job summary

Arden University is seeking a proactive Student Hub Advisor to be the first contact for our diverse student body. You will assist across in-person, phone, email, live chat, and messenger channels, delivering friendly, responsive service and practical solutions to student queries.

This 6-month fixed-term contract requires 37 hours per week, with up to two evening shifts and occasional Saturday shifts during the semester.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in customer service, ideally in a student-facing role.
• Strong passion for helping others succeed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in administration and IT literacy.
• Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities.

• Serve as the primary contact for student enquiries and support.
• Communicate effectively via phone, email, live chat, messenger, and in-person.
• Provide innovative and customised solutions to student issues.
• Ensure a high standard of customer care by going above and beyond in every interaction.

Job description

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Employment type: Fixed Term Contract 6 months

Hours per week: 37

Reporting into: Lead Student Hub Advisor

Department: Student Experience

To include up to two evening shifts per week Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday 11:30am - 8pm and up to five Saturday shifts per semester 9am - 2pm.

*Saturday shifts are paid at a higher rate with Monday (or another weekday) off in lieu.

Working hours outside the semester will be usual business hours, Monday to Friday.

Saturday hours to begin from teaching week 1 of the November semester.

Our Student Hub Advisors sit within our Student Experience team who are crucial to providing pastoral support and career advice to students to maintain student welfare. This includes providing the best experience and guidance from application, admission, through to graduation.
