Outwood Grange Academies Trust is seeking a Health Care Assistant for Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth near Stockton-on-Tees. The role covers personal care, hygiene, mobility support, and meals for students with complex needs, following care plans and safety rules. DBS checks and safeguarding measures apply.

The position is 20 hours per week during term time, with a welcoming school community and a commitment to professional development and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain a First Aid qualification within 12 months of starting the role.
• Experience working in a care environment is essential.
• Ability to cope with the personal and physical needs of children and young adults with dignity.
• Effective communication and adherence to lifting, handling, hygiene and dignity procedures.

Responsabilités

• Meet personal care needs of identified students, adhering to academy policy on hygiene, lifting and medicine administration.
• Assist with meals, including gastrostomy tube feeding, and dispense medicines per policy and individual care plans; report changes to line manager.
