Job summary

Unite Group’s Unite Students brand is seeking a Student Experience Team Member in Manchester. You will greet students, resolve issues quickly, lead flat viewings and help organise vibrant communities.

You’ll work with teams across housekeeping, facilities and Resident Ambassadors to create welcoming daily experiences. You’ll engage with students, drive bookings, and contribute to a home environment they’re proud of.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
• Warm, approachable and able to communicate clearly.
• Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a friendly front-of-house reception and build rapport with students.
• Respond to student feedback and guide to support.
• Assist with sales through viewings, enquiries and events.
• Help deliver community events with Resident Ambassadors.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment the students are proud of.
• Coordinate with day and night teams for seamless service.
• Support wellbeing or welfare concerns and take action when needed.
• Be a brand ambassador aligned with CARE: Connect, Act, Respect, Encourage.

Contract Type: Permanent

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 between the hours of 7am and 10pm. Weekends will be required on a rota basis.

As a Student Experience Team Member, you`ll play a key part in delivering a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel supported and valued. You`ll work closely with your Student Experience Team Leader, peers, housekeeping, facilities, and Resident Ambassadors to create positive everyday experiences?from welcoming students at reception to resolving issues quickly, leading flat viewings, and helping organise vibrant community events. Every day you`ll make a real impact, connecting with students, driving bookings, and helping build a place they`re proud to call home.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, ideally with a background in hospitality or retail, to create positive and welcoming experiences for students.
• Be warm, caring, and approachable, confident in communicating and answering student inquiries efficiently.
• Possess strong time management and organisational skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Take pride in doing what`s right and supporting others.
• Preferred, have experience in a customer service role or residential environment - though this isn`t essential. What matters most is your ability to connect with people and create a safe, welcoming atmosphere.
• Taking ownership of problems and act quickly to resolve issues, ensuring student satisfaction and safety.
