Unite Group is hiring a Student Experience Team Member to help create a welcoming, safe and engaging environment for residents and visitors in Manchester. You will be the friendly face of the building, handling enquiries, supporting check-ins and viewings, and assisting with events to foster a vibrant student community.

The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer experiences, proactive problem-solving and teamwork within a busy property team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service, hospitality, retail or residential environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly face-to-face customer service to residents and visitors.
• Support the full resident journey including check-ins, viewings and bookings.

• Respond to maintenance issues and raise requests for resolution.
• Record enquiries and operational issues accurately in internal systems.

Student Experience Team Member

As a Student Experience Team Member, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe and engagingenvironment for our residents and visitors.

Working as part of the property team, you'll be the friendly face of the building—supporting residents, responding to enquiries, and helping ensure everything runs smoothly day to day. From check-ins and viewings to resolving issues and supporting events, you'll be central to delivering a great resident experience.

This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same, and where your work helps create a vibrant and supportive student community.

Your impact

Whilst no two days are the same at Unite Group, here's a flavour of what you'll be responsible for in this role:

• Provide friendly, face-to-face customer service to residents and visitors, responding to enquiries and resolving issues
• Support the full resident journey, including check-ins, check-outs and day-to-day resident support
• Deliver property viewings and support bookings, helping drive occupancy and retention
• Support resident engagement activities, helping create a welcoming and vibrant community
• Respond to maintenance issues, making safe where required and raising requests for resolution
• Carry out building checks and support safety procedures, ensuring the property remains safe and compliant
• Support emergency response procedures when required
• Maintain high property standards, ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and well presented
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Record enquiries, cases and operational issues accurately within internal systems

Your background

You don't need to follow a traditional path – what matters most is your passion for customer service and your ability to connect with people.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have experience in a customer service, hospitality, retail or residential environment.
• Enjoy working with people and delivering great customer experiences.
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Be proactive, organised and comfortable working in a busy and varied environment.
• Be confident handling enquiries, complaints and resident requests.
• Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting colleagues when needed.
• Experience in student accommodation, hospitality or residential environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.
