Job Title: Student Events Officer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £27,644 - £29,959 per annum - SS3

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Events Officer to join our Student Support and Wellbeing Directorate who are at the forefront of student support, providing a high-quality advice, guidance and signposting. The team helps students navigate and overcome difficulties in order to improve their performance, achieve their goals and have a positive experience of higher education as well as creating a sense of belonging to UCB.

The postholder will be based with Student Engagement and Success team and will engage with students and staff to help create an inclusive environment within the University. You will be working on specific initiatives that will be aligned with various initiatives, such as the University Mental Health Charter, the University's Access and Participation Plan, as well as our Inclusion and Diversity strategy.

This will include supporting the development of a data informed annual events plan and the development and delivery of co-created workshops, events and information materials aimed at building community and sense of belonging and improving outcomes for our students.

The post holder will contribute towards projects to improve the student experience within a range of areas, such as academic performance, wellbeing, belonging, inclusion, and diversity. This will involve collaboration across the institution with students and staff in order to organise and deliver events and workshops, both on campus and virtually.
