You will work for an organization committed to high clinical and quality standards, with most of our services rated 'good' or 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission. You will be based within our community nursing teams, providing care to patients in their homes, with access to Community Matrons, Specialist Nursing Services, Rapid Response, and therapy teams.

We empower our staff to work autonomously and flexibly, providing state-of-the-art tablets for real-time electronic note-taking. In this role, you will care for patients according to your professional judgment, uphold high service standards, share best practices, and actively seek to improve our services.

HCRG Care Group (North Kent) invites applications for a 1-year full-time Specialist Practitioner Award in District Nursing starting January 2026. The course involves 50% taught sessions at the University of Greenwich and 50% work-based placements. Successful applicants will be employed on a full-time fixed-term contract, with salary and full funding for the program. There will also be opportunities to join us permanently after completing the course, along with ongoing support for Non-Medical Prescribing.

Applicants must meet the university's academic requirements and be available for the entire year. Requirements include:

  1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Nurse
  2. At least 2 years of post-registration experience in community nursing
  3. A relevant degree, typically at 2:2 or above (minimum 120 credits at level 6)
  4. Evidence of competence, experience, or academic ability to undertake the program
