Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting on behalf of a Northamptonshire-based college for a Careers Advisor. This permanent, full-time position is 37 hours per week with a salary of £27,968 per annum and focuses on delivering CEIAG to students across the college.

You will conduct one-to-one guidance, run workshops, support progression including HE, apprenticeships and employment, and assist students with UCAS applications.

Qualifications

• Level 6 CIEAG qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Level 3 AET or willingness to achieve.
• Level 2 Customer Service qualification or willingness to achieve.
• Experience delivering careers education and guidance in one-to-one or small group settings.
• Experience working with young people and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisation and planning skills.
• Commitment to providing an outstanding student-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one careers guidance sessions to students.
• Deliver careers workshops, employability sessions and masterclasses.
• Support students with progression routes including Higher Education, apprenticeships and employment.
• Assist students throughout the UCAS application process.
• Organise and deliver mock interviews, CV workshops and employability activities.
• Support careers events, open days and transition activities.
• Work closely with curriculum teams and Personal Development Tutors to enhance student progression opportunities.
• Ensure careers provision aligns with Gatsby Benchmarks and best practice guidance.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across all aspects of the role.
