Job summary

Stanmore College is seeking a Careers Adviser to join the Student Services team and deliver a comprehensive careers programme across the College. You will provide impartial, high-quality careers advice to learners to help them explore options and prepare for next steps.

This role sits within a dynamic Careers Development team, contributing to the wider programme with external partners and ensuring learners have access to information, progression opportunities, and meaningful work-related

Qualifications

Experience providing careers guidance, ideally in FE or education.

Responsibilities

Provide impartial, confidential, person-centred careers guidance in individual and group sessions.
Support learners with applications, including UCAS, personal statements, CVs and interview prep.
Provide up-to-date information on HE, apprenticeships, employment and labour market opportunities.
Contribute to careers fairs, talks, workshops, university events and work experience.
Build relationships with employers, universities, training providers and community organisations.
Maintain records and monitor learner destinations and outcomes.
Support development and evaluation of the careers programme in line with Gatsby Benchmarks and Careers Strategy.
