Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking a Res Life Student Ambassador to support activities and events in our halls of residence. You will help plan, promote and deliver social activities, assisting new students as they settle in and build connections throughout the academic year.
You will work with the Student Transition Coordinator and fellow ambassadors, coordinating Welcome Week activities and evening/weekend events.
If you’re passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive student community, we have a fantastic opportunity to become a Res Life Student Ambassador to support the delivery of activities and events within our halls of residence.
Working alongside the Student Transition Coordinator and fellow ambassadors, you will help plan, promote and deliver a range of social activities to enhance the student experience in halls. You will play an important role in helping new students settle into university life, build friendships and engage with the university community.
The role includes supporting ‘Welcome Week’ activities and facilitating evening and weekend events throughout the academic year.

As a current Cardiff Metropolitan University student who has previously been, is currently, or is due to be a resident in Cyncoed or Plas Gwyn halls of residence, you’ll use your strong communication skills, confidence and empathy to help create engaging events and a supportive environment for students and guests.
You’ll bring a positive, approachable attitude alongside strong organisational skills, enabling you to coordinate activities effectively, adapt to changing needs and respond to challenges with calmness and professionalism.
This role is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership, communication and event management skills while making a positive contribution to the student experience and residential community at Cardiff Met. This is a casual opportunity offering flexible, ad hoc hours - ideal for gaining paid experience that fits around your studies.
