Job summary

Elvet Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Manager for a market-leading specialist structural/concrete repairs contractor with projects across the Midlands and nationwide. The role offers regular UK-wide travel, a clear path to Contracts Manager, and a strong emphasis on staff development within a Tier 1 backing.

Key duties include cradle-to-grave project oversight, NEC contract control, and effective BIM-enabled delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in management of civil engineering & structural projects, ideally within rail or highways settings.
• Experience managing bridge-related schemes: bearings, deckings, movement joints, expansion joints.
• Experience overseeing infrastructure project delivery for main contractor with scheme values of £1m+.
• Knowledge of NEC contract suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage site teams and supply chain to deliver projects to quality targets and deadlines.
• Oversee projects cradle to grave including tender, planning & programming.
• Writing documentation for sites.
• Early Warnings & Compensation Events.
• Work with client to achieve deadlines & build lasting relationships.
• Managing all contract changes - familiarity with NEC3 / NEC 4.
• Commercial cost tracking and control with the Commercial team.
• Implement BIM to achieve effective delivery and drive safety, particularly with 3D design and visualization.

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a market-leading specialist structural / concrete repairs contractor for works across the Midlands & UK-wide.

The company are an industry leader in their field delivering a number of solutions on bridges & structures nationwide. This large main contractor's specialisms include: Bridge Jacking, Bearing Replacement, Bridge Decking Upgrades, Mechanical Movement Joints, Parapet Renewals, Expansion Joints & general Concrete Repairs / Waterproofing.

Projects fall within: Highways, Rail, Nuclear & more.

Project values up to £10m.

They operate as part of a larger Tier 1 company group with a turnover of £3bn+ meaning significant financial backing, security and the utmost priority on staff development. They're well know throughout this specialist industry for growing some of the most technically competent Engineers & Managers with their high standards.

The pipeline of work for this contractor is extensive and spanning several sectors hence the need to bring in some key staff across their offices UK-wide. The business' priority is to bring in an experienced Project Manager who would ideally look to progress to Contracts Manager in due course with this employers unrivalled development.

(Please note: this is a nationwide role that will require regular working away. Flexible working offered but this will be dictated by individual project needs).

Remuneration:

On offer is a salary of up to £67,000 (doe) plus generous package including:

Car or allowance, 7% pension, family health care, 10% annual bonus, death in service, increased annual leave and a wide range of wellbeing benefits and additional perks.
