Job summary

A leading company in civil engineering seeks a Structures Engineer to join their North West team. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, supported by career development and training. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications, experience in the UK sector, and a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

  • Current UK experience in Public or UK-based sectors.
  • Able to manage a forward programme of work.
  • Chartered or close to Professional Qualification with the ICE or IStructE.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake detailed design and structural assessments according to Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Produce and review inspection reports for various structural assets.
  • Coordinate a small team of engineers for structural inspections.

  • Undertake detailed design and structural assessments in accordance with Eurocodes and/or British Standards
  • Produce, review, and approve scheme deliverables including Principal Inspection(s), General Inspections, Site Inspections, repair and remedial work recommendations, and inspection proformas
  • BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc, or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
  • A full UK driving license is essential
  • Experience in coordinating and managing a small team of engineers to undertake and report on structural inspections of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other highways assets
  • Chartered, Incorporated, or close to a Professional Qualification with the ICE or IStructE
