Job summary

Nomura is seeking a Structured Products Middle Office specialist to support Exotic Rates desks in London on a 6-month PAYE assignment. You will manage trade lifecycle, perform T0 P&L reviews and provide first-line controls across structured rates and related desks.

You will work with Front Office, Risk, Finance and IT to implement governance, strengthen controls and drive process improvements while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the GMO London team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Structured Derivatives, preferably rates.
• Experience in a middle office environment or equivalent control function.
• Understanding of investment bank products and processes; high attention to detail.
• Ability to balance demand and drive process change.
• Strong communication; build relationships and challenge stakeholders.
• Familiarity with programming tools desirable (Python, SQL, Alteryx, PowerBI).

Responsibilities

• Provide trade management and first-line support for Exotic Rates desks.
• Interact with FO, Risk, Finance, IT and Ops to implement controls.
• Partner with Front Office and other controls to govern bespoke products.
• Develop governance frameworks for bespoke and developing business lines.
• Build relationships with FO and stakeholders to support growth.
• Manage demand and prioritise across CTB and RTB agendas.
• Collaborate across GMO teams onshore and offshore.
