Job Description:

We’re working exclusively with a pioneering insurtech client who is transforming the way credit risk is managed. They act very similar to a synthetic credit fund and combine sophisticated underwriting with cutting-edge technology to create innovative credit insurance solutions for financial institutions.

This role sits in the team focused on direct sourcing and structuring of portfolios of credit. They’re now looking to appoint a high-calibre Associate to join their expanding London-based team.

About the Role

You will work closely with a senior Partner and be instrumental in driving the company’s growth across origination, structuring, portfolio management, and execution.

You’ll play a key role in developing relationships with banks, supporting fundraising efforts, and contributing to structuring bespoke credit insurance solutions. This role is ideal for someone seeking variety, autonomy, and the chance to influence the direction of a forward-thinking business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting deal origination and relationship management with financial institutions.
  • Assisting with fundraising strategies for reinsurance solutions.
  • Tracking portfolio performance and managing income projections.
  • Contributing to the structuring and execution of deals.
  • Conducting credit analysis to assess deal suitability and support new product development.
Candidate Profile
  • 5-8 years of experience within a financial institution, ideally with exposure to structured or leveraged finance.
  • Strong academic background; professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACII, FCII) advantageous.
  • Familiarity with traded products such as derivatives or repos is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
