Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator in Braintree, Essex for a permanent, full-time role. You will perform MIG welding of mild steel components (3mm – 40mm) and interpret technical drawings, while operating fabrication machinery to a high standard.

Based in a structural and architectural fabrication environment, the role offers steady hours (7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday), overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours, and free on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Proven welding and fabrication experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
• NVQ, Diploma or Apprenticeship in Welding/Fabrication
• Familiarity with fabrication machinery and workshop tools
• CAD knowledge is advantageous but not essential
• Safety-conscious approach

Responsibilities

• MIG weld mild steel components (3mm – 40mm thickness)
• Interpret and work from technical engineering drawings
• Operate fabrication machinery and equipment
• Work to execution class 2 welding standards
• Fabricate bespoke and structural components to specification
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
