Job Description:

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Structural Welder Fabricator to join our team in Dudley. This hands-on role involves working with mild steel from 5mm to 50mm, fabricating and installing staircases, balustrades, handrails, and structural frames. The successful candidate must be confident in MIG welding and comfortable working both in the workshop and on-site for fitting and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel components (5mm–50mm thick)
• Fabricate and assemble staircases, balustrades, and structural steelwork
• Interpret and work from technical engineering drawings
• Carry out on-site installation and fitting work as required
• Use hand tools and machinery including grinders, drills, and plasma cutters
• Follow all health and safety protocols both in workshop and on-site

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a structural welder/fabricator
• Skilled in MIG welding with heavy-gauge mild steel
• Ability to read and work from fabrication drawings
• Comfortable working on-site and at height if needed
• CSCS card preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a positive work attitude
• £16.00+ per hour (DOE)
• Overtime and enhanced rates for site work
