Structural CAD Technician

Our client in Rutland is seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join their team. The technician will work with a consultancy on various Building Structures projects, including Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Cladding, and Façades, primarily focusing on Building Structures.

This role is ideal for someone with over 2 years of experience in a consultancy environment, eager to advance their career. The responsibilities include detailing and modeling a diverse range of projects across sectors. Knowledge of Timber, Masonry, Concrete, Steel, and familiarity with Cladding, Roofing, and Facades are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

1. Detailing and modeling of building structures projects
2. Collaborating with engineers to ensure precise drawings
3. Mentoring and developing junior team members
4. Creating steel and concrete layout drawings
5. Reinforcement detailing and scheduling
6. Participating in design meetings and client visits

Qualifications and Experience

• HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (advantageous)
• Over 2 years of experience in a consultancy role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus
• Experience with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
