Job description

Structural Technician Opportunity - Birmingham

A new Structural Technician position has become available with our client in Birmingham. This is an exciting time to join the company, which is expanding its team of skilled engineering professionals. The role offers centrally located offices, hybrid working arrangements, and involvement in a healthy pipeline of projects.

Responsibilities and Projects:

  • Work on a variety of projects across the residential sector, including housing, apartments, mid-rise, and retirement schemes, as well as other structural engineering projects.
  • Review and implement site investigation reports, NHBC guidelines, Building Regulations, LABC, BRE, etc.
  • Attend design team meetings and site reviews as required.
  • Prepare structural drawings and details, including RC detailing.

Skills and Software:

  • Knowledge of concrete, steel, load-bearing masonry, and timber structures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADS RC, and Revit (beneficial but not essential).
