Job summary

An engineering consultancy in Aberdeen is seeking a Structural Technician to create high-quality CAD and Revit-based drawings and support technical delivery. The ideal candidate will have an HNC or HND in Civil Engineering and hands-on experience in CAD/BIM. This position offers a competitive salary, annual bonus, and a hybrid working model.

Role Overview

Join a dynamic engineering team as a Structural Technician, working on CAD/Revit-based drawing projects and supporting the technical delivery of engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality engineering drawings using CAD and 3D drafting tools (e.g., Revit/BIM)
• Support the BIM Manager with developing BIM protocols and training documentation
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians
• Visit sites as needed and respond to queries
• Manage time efficiently to meet project targets and KPIs
• Provide technical support to engineers and fellow technicians
• Keep up to date with design tools, software, and industry standards
• Collaborate professionally within the project team, and contribute to technical decisions
