Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking a Structural Steel Supervisor to join the High View site in Carrington, with responsibility for on-site supervision of steelwork erection on major projects while upholding safety and engineering standards.

You will interpret drawings (NSSS), enforce Safe Systems of Work, and lead the on-site team to deliver high workmanship and compliance with safety protocols and lifting operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural steelwork erection on major projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering construction drawings (NSSS).
• Knowledge of constructability planning and project phasing.
• Experience supervising MEWPS and lifting of steel structures.
• Proven safety leadership and development of Safe Systems of Work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee use of MEWPS and lifting of steel structures and components.
• Develop, implement and monitor Safe Systems of Work.
• Provide hands-on safety leadership on site.
• Direct and manage your workforce on the project.
• Ensure workplaces are safe and compliant with risk controls.
• Complete trade assessments for personnel at defined intervals.
