Job summary

Think Recruitment are partnered with a growing design consultancy arm of a large multinational contracting business to recruit an experienced Structural Revit Technician for their Nottingham team. You will contribute to design delivery on mid to large schemes across healthcare, education and commercial sectors.

Working under a project lead, you will prepare general arrangements and detailed drawings for steel, reinforced concrete and masonry, and review drawings from others to generate

Qualifications

• Background in civil or structural engineering.
• Experience in elemental design of steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Ability to review drawings and generate coordinated details.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a project lead.
• Prepare general arrangement and detailed drawings for steel, reinforced concrete and masonry.
• Prepare drawings for retaining structures and sub-structures with reinforcement layouts.
• Prepare bar bending schedules.
• Review drawings from other team members to ensure coordination.

Think Recruitment are currently working with the growing design consultancy arm of a large multi-national contracting business who are looking for an experienced Structural Revit Technician to join their Nottingham team.

Playing a key part in design delivery our client offer a unique opportunity to work on ground-breaking projects that leverage cutting-edge technology and design principles.

As a Technician with either a background in civil or structural engineering, you'll play a pivotal role providing technical expertise and leadership across a range of mid to large schemes supporting large UK & International contractors, delivering projects in the healthcare, education and commercial sectors to name a few. Working on your own initiative, or supporting other technicians, you'll ensure quality and efficiency in technical operations.

On a day to day basis, the successful candidate will be;

• Working under the supervision of a project lead.
• Experienced in elemental design of steelwork, concrete, timber and masonry members.
• Preparing general arrangement and detailed drawings for building structures (steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry).
• Preparing general arrangement and detailed drawings for retaining structures, including reinforcement layouts and details.
• Preparing general arrangement and detailed drawings for sub-structures, including reinforcement layouts and details.
• Preparing bar bending schedules.
• Reviewing drawings and details produced by other members of the design team as part of the process of generating coordinated details.

Some of knowledge of detailing of drainage and external works would be beneficial but not critical.Ideally proficient in the use of both AutoCAD and Revit, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Technician who is looking for a role that is a bit different to the norm with the chance to work on some of the UK's mist prestigious projects
