Job summary

Vincera Consulting Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking a proactive Structural Revit Technician to contribute to modern projects. The role requires hands-on experience with concrete and steel through construction stages, and proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structures for building design and construction tasks.

About the job Structural Revit Technician

Exciting opportunity for a Structural Revit Technician to join a modern, dynamic and successful Consultancy in Birmingham. This role comes at an excellent time with plenty of new and ongoing projects taking place in the central Birmingham region. With centrally located offices you will be ideally placed to be in amongst some of Birmingham's prestigious construction schemes!

Role:

The role of Structural Revit Technician is ideal for a proactive individual with a good eye for drawings, models and aesthetics. Someone who wants to learn and keep up with developments in software technology!

The ideal candidate will have worked on concrete and steel projects to construction stage and produced a high level of model definition. You will have prior, work-based experience of using Autodesk Revit Structures or above on building design/construction projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work alongside Engineers and liaise with internal and external project teams to produce structural information modelling and drawing production on projects.
• Prepare and develop structural drawings, BIM models, images and other documents relating to the design.
• Work with project teams to develop and implement project specific BIM workflow, BIM Execution Plans and Data Management.
• Take responsibility for the production and delivery of structural information for specific areas of the design and project development.
• Help the BIM Manager and BIM coordinators with BIM related tasks.
• Help in the organisation and coordination of the structural design team as needed to deliver projects successfully.
• Assist the BIM Manager with maintaining project specific library of families and develop new families as required along with other project specific contents.
• Good and efficient Autodesk Revit modelling skills driven by a good understanding of structures, especially steel and concrete.
• Good understanding and creation of complex parametric Revit families (BIM content).
• Knowledge and/or experience of working with IFC file formats and COBie standards.
• Experience and clear understanding of Projects Geolocation Setting out, implementation and use of shared coordinates, publishing coordinates, managing site models etc.
• Experience of working with internal and external information from a coordination point of view and demonstration of working with live Architectural and MEP linked models.
