Are you an experienced Structural Technician interested in BIM and looking for that next step? We are seeking a structural technician with building structures experience for an established consultancy in Cardiff. This consultancy is well-regarded in the local market, handling a variety of projects.

As a Structural Technician, your responsibilities will include:

1. Drawing and modelling duties on building structures from various sectors
2. Working closely with and supporting engineers
3. Monitoring the technical output of the drawing team
4. Understanding site issues and devising solutions
5. Communicating with contractors and architects
6. Mentoring and developing junior staff

The role offers contemporary offices, a pleasant working environment, and free parking. The office covers sites across South West and South Wales, involved in exciting projects such as:

• RC Framed multi-storey structures up to 35 floors (hotels, apartments, student accommodation)
• Out of town retail sites around the UK
• Custodial projects
• Commercial buildings
• Hospital new builds and extensions

Essential criteria include:

• A relevant qualification in civil or structural engineering
• Experience working with building structures
• AutoCAD and Revit Structure experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of the design process
