Job description

We are searching for an experienced, clear thinking, self-motivated Structural Engineer who is looking to manage their own projects, with a minimum of three years post graduate experience to be based in their office in Leeds.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking at becoming a Chartered Engineer with the ICE or IStructE in the near future, as our client will support you and guide you towards CEng status. More than half of our clients’ employees are Chartered.

You will be working on a wide variety of projects including residential, multi-storey new build, refurbishment, temporary works and special structures.

What You Need To Succeed

  • A minimum of three years post graduate design experience.
  • Detailed design of a variety of materials including reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
  • Experience and knowledge of hand calculations.
  • Proficient in structural software including AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds and Robot.
  • Temporary Work design would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attend site visits as and when required.
  • Chartered with IStructE or ICE (preferred but not essential).
  • MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
