Job summary

Anonymous is recruiting for a Plater / Fabricator based in Leven, Fife. The role involves fabrication and assembly of substantial structural steel components in a busy industrial environment, with day and night shifts available.

Candidates should have NVQ Level 3 or time-served experience in a relevant trade, and strong Plater/Fabricator/Steelworker background with ability to read engineering drawings. Local and travelling positions offered, with lodging allowance for travellers.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade or time-served experience.
• Strong Plater / Fabricator / Steelworker experience.
• Structural steel fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Heavy engineering, marine or shipbuilding experience preferred.
• Good safety awareness and a reliable approach to work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and assembly of structural steel.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Marking out, cutting and forming steel.
• Fabrication of brackets, supports and structural components.
• Fitting and aligning components ready for welding.
• Checking dimensions and the quality of completed assemblies.
• Tack welding, grinding and preparation work where required.
• Working alongside Welders and other fabrication trades.
• Meeting quality, safety and production targets.
