Amentum is seeking a motivated Structural Integrity Team Leader in the UK to line-manage 6–8 engineers, deliver complex client projects, and expand services across generations, nuclear, and defence sectors. The role combines technical oversight with people leadership in a market-driven environment.
You will shape strategy, win work, and nurture client relationships while developing your team’s capabilities within a hybrid working model across Warrington, Knutsford and Manchester offices.
We’ll inspire and empower you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow. We offer an exciting range of opportunities to develop your career within a supportive and diverse team who always strive to do the right thing for our people, clients and communities. People are our greatest asset, and we offer a competitive package to retain and attract the best talent.
Work-life balance and flexibility is a key focus area for us. We’re happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours, patterns and locations to suit you and our business.
The Structural Analysis and Assessment Team is looking to recruit a motivated and dynamic Structural Integrity team leader to effectively line manage 6-8 structural Integrity experts. Our capabilities are in demand across the nuclear sector and your role will be to develop and grow these services in support of key client’s requirements across the New Build, Generation and Defence industries. You will also be required to continue to develop and deliver a strategy for expanding the team’s client base beyond its traditional customers and geographies. As part of the team, you will be delivering important solutions to real problems, meeting the UK and international energy demands and carbon emissions targets. The successful candidate will have a sound structural integrity background, with knowledge of structural design and analysis techniques. The role includes technical oversight and delivery, in addition to line management and winning work. Therefore, the position will offer the opportunity to develop your technical skills further, in addition to a potential path into more senior leadership roles. You and your team will be part of our wider Structural Analysis and Assessment Team. The team comprises a broad range of Engineering and Scientific experts spanning mathematics, physics, structural and mechanical engineering, software development, finite-element stress analysis, and structural integrity analysis and assessment. We provide these services to a range of customers, mainly but not exclusively in the nuclear industry, to ensure the economic and safe operation of capital-intensive plant, from both government and private industry. We also actively participate in a number of national and international projects and work closely with other parts of Amentum to provide integrated solutions to client requirements. The team excels at hybrid working, with some days at home and others in our offices in Warrington, Knutsford and Manchester.
