Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is recruiting an MDT Co-ordinator to cover maternity leave in our specialist structural heart team. You will coordinate the patient MDT list from clinical and administrative sources and ensure timely, complete information flows between teams and external organisations.

The role requires strong administrative and organisational experience in a healthcare setting, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical terminology.

Qualifications

  • Good literacy and numeracy to GCSE level.
  • Administrative and organisational experience in a healthcare environment
  • RSA 2 word processing/typing or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with non-routine and complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the clinical MDT meeting (patient list) from clinical and administrative sources in an electronic format.
  • Liaise with other organisations to ensure completeness of patient information for clinical and data purposes.
  • Manage and maintain records which could be sensitive.
  • Progress chase for non-routine and complex problems.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in our specialist structural heart team offers an alternative treatment option for patients who have been deemed unsuitable for conventional open heart surgery. This role is to cover our current MDT co-ordinator maternity leave, to ensure a seamless administrative process for our patients., The successful candidate will be responsible for Coordinate the clinical MDT meeting (patient list) from clinical and administrative sources in anelectronic format. Liaising with other organisations as necessary to ensure completeness of patient information for clinical and data purposes. Appropriately manage and maintain records which could be of a sensitive nature.
Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems and progress chasingProficient with the use of Microsoft office.,

  • Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GSCE pass level or equivalent standard
  • Administrative and organisational experience in a healthcare environment
  • RSA 2 word processing/typing or an equivalent level of experience
  • Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems and progress chasing
  • Knowledge and experience across a range of admin work procedures gained in a Healthcare setting
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in a co-ordination role, Courses / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development
  • Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
  • RSA 3
  • Proficient in the use of all hospital computerised patient systems
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology
