About the Role

JMS Group employs 50+ staff undertaking civil & structural engineering designs and has been serving the Construction Industry for over 25 years.

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our London office. The role involves designing a variety of projects, from small domestic extensions to large multi-storey developments, working alongside colleagues within the local office and across the Group. Support for obtaining accreditation from the Institute of Structural Engineers will be provided.

Projects involve costs up to £12m, utilizing the latest design software, offering an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful, high-value projects. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with the role's importance.

Responsibilities

1. Use advanced design software to create and manage structural designs.
2. Collaborate with clients and team members on design and technical solutions.
3. Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports for various structures.
4. Develop client relationships and promote JMS services.
5. Contribute to achieving revenue targets from existing and new clients.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
2. At least 2 years of UK-based structural engineering experience, ideally in London.
3. Chartered Engineer status (CEng) is advantageous.
4. Experience in cost estimation and project management.
5. Experience with concrete structures is highly desirable.
