Overview

Experienced Junior Building Structures Design Engineer. Permanent role in London. Salary £36,000 – £40,000.

An outstanding opportunity with a 90-strong top tier structural consultancy in Central London has opened up and they are shortlisting in the near future. They are looking for an experienced Junior Building Structures Engineer to join one of their dedicated building structures teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a design engineer on a range of building structures projects including stadia, hotels, multi-storey residential structures and artistic installations.
• Design using traditional materials with hand calculations and design software.
• Attend site meetings and design meetings, and liaise with contractors as directed by senior team members.
• Develop towards project engineering roles as you gain experience within the team, which has been established for more than a decade and is led by a founding director who is FIStructE.

Qualifications

• Outstanding academic background (2:1 or better MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering).
• At least 12 months experience working with a UK-based structural consultancy on projects similar to the listed scope.
