Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures team in the Yorkshire and Northeast region. You’ll contribute to design and delivery across diverse projects, from new builds to refurbishments, working with multi-disciplinary teams in Leeds, Newcastle and Stockton.

You’ll engage with clients, develop conceptual solutions, and progress designs to detailed stages while aligning with BIM and QA processes, safety, and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Graduate member of IStructE or ICE; chartership pursued is preferred.
• Experience with Eurocodes for steel, concrete, timber, masonry.
• Familiar with Tekla Structural Designer, Robot and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge across building structures projects.
• Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design.
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders on live projects.
• Mentor junior team members and develop technical skills.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance procedures and BIM standards.
