Job summary

Ridge Expert Witness Advisory Services (EWAS) is expanding its specialist team with an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer. The role involves analyzing buildings, reviewing documents, and progressing towards acting as an Expert Witness.

The successful candidate will support court and tribunal evidence with training provided where needed. Based in any of our UK offices (London, Manchester, Birmingham preferred), you will lead detailed design calculations to UK standards, supervise CAD

Qualifications

• MEng/MSc in civil/structural engineering; Chartered status preferred.
• 10 years in the construction industry.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with design software.
• Strong report writing and communication for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist Expert Witnesses and progress to acting as Expert Witness.
• Review reports and perform desktop reviews; draft synopses.
• Prepare detailed design calculations to BS, Eurocodes and guidance notes.
• Support colleagues from other disciplines and supervise CAD Technicians.
• Represent the company at client meetings and expert proceedings.
