Job summary

TED RECRUITMENT is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our client in Stockton-on-Tees. You will design structures and ensure compliance with UK codes across a diverse project portfolio including schools, offices, residential, industrial, and decarbonisation schemes.

The role reports to a Senior/Principal Engineer and offers good progression prospects with a strong benefits package. Ideal candidates hold a BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering and 2+ years of post-graduate UK consulting

Qualifications

You must have a BSc in Civil Engineering.
Ideally an MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be useful.
You should have around two years or more post graduate experience with a civil/structural consulting firm.
You are likely to be working towards becoming chartered or keen to work towards chartered status.
You will need good broad based structural design experience for concrete, masonry, steel and timber structures.
You should have used structural software e.g. Tekla Structural Designer or similar.
Good experience in Excel and TEDDS; experience with AutoCAD & Revit is expected.
UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

Perform structural engineering design and ensure compliance with industry standards and UK regulations.
Report to a Senior or Principal Engineer.
Assist towards becoming chartered.
Involved in structural condition surveys and report writing.
