Job summary

RGB in Greater Manchester is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its established civil and structural team on a permanent basis. The role covers a varied portfolio from residential to theme parks, with involvement from concept through to construction.

You will design steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures, produce calculations and reports, and work closely with technicians, architects and clients to deliver projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy.
• Solid understanding of structural design principles.
• Experience with steel and reinforced concrete design.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Desire to progress towards chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Structural design of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Producing calculations, specifications and technical design information.
• Working from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Coordinating with technicians, architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Attending design meetings and liaising with clients and contractors.
• Supporting project delivery while developing technical and project responsibility.
