Job Opportunity: Structural Engineer

We are currently collaborating with an independent consultancy based in Reigate, seeking to add a Structural Engineer to their team.

The consultancy specializes in insurance claims evaluations and forensic engineering, handling projects ranging from simple to highly complex. Their clients include private individuals, large corporate clients, and insurers, serving the Home Counties, London, and parts of the South West, including Cornwall.

About the Practice

Founded on traditional values, quality, and exceptional customer care, the practice offers expertise in:

  • Insurance Claims - Subsidence, heave, and landslip

  • Building Surveys - Commercial and Domestic

The practice has successfully resolved numerous insurance claims for damages caused by fire, flood, storm, impact, water/oil escape, and explosions. They have a proven track record in reinstating damaged buildings and properties.

Key Focus

From the outset, the team emphasizes the importance of focusing on key drivers for repair projects, notably time, costs, and client well-being. Their claims handling approach offers a comprehensive Project Managed Service, including damage assessment, documentation, drawings, and acting as Contract Administrator to oversee repairs.

Qualifications and Experience
  • BEng or MEng in civil and/or structural engineering (MEng or BEng MSc or equivalent preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to spend time on-site and undertake occasional stays away from home
  • Full UK driving license
