Job Responsibilities

1. Undertake the role of Originator or Checker for Repair Order deliverables, including calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings, ensuring compliance with client procedures, structural specifications, applicable code requirements, and international standards.
2. Perform all work in accordance with the quality assurance system, with a focus on HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental).
3. Conduct offshore visits to support detailed design.
4. Create and review construction work packs.
5. Create and review fabrication requisitions.
6. Liaise with fabricators to resolve issues related to the design.
7. Respond to Technical Queries (TQs) raised by offshore construction teams.
8. Coordinate and manage third-party vendors involved in developing structural Repair Order design deliverables.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering design contractor environment.
• Experience managing vendor service contracts.
• For internal candidates: flexible, team-oriented, effective communicator, proactive, and resourceful in planning and management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and developing effective working relationships.
• Structural Technical Authority collaboration.

Educational and Certification Requirements

• BSc, BEng, or HND with extensive relevant experience.
• Current Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate.
• Post-graduate experience in civil and/or structural engineering design.
• Knowledge of AISC American Design Code, relevant British Standards, and Eurocodes.
• Proficiency in standard software packages.
• Ability to apply engineering theory practically.
