Structural Engineer
Our client, a reputable Structural Engineering Consultancy with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a Structural Engineer. They work on diverse projects across sectors such as Leisure, Civil Engineering, Commercial, Education, Historic, Residential, Public, and Science & Healthcare.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience within a Structural Design Consultancy and hold a Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Mentoring less experienced team members
- Managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously
- Supporting Principal Engineers and Directors
- Ensuring quality deliverables and client satisfaction
- Adhering to industry-recognized processes and procedures
- Applying fundamental structural engineering principles and design knowledge
- Working on innovative and sustainable projects across various sectors
- Using AutoCAD, Masterseries, TEDDS, STAAD.Pro, SCIA, and Revit
- Conducting site visits
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Structural Design Consultancy (Building)
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or similar, IStructE or ICE accredited
- Experience in Building Design is essential
- Based within the Oxford area
- Working towards chartership with IStructE or ICE
- Proven experience in producing detailed structural calculations and sketches
- Preparation of construction drawings and specifications
- Commercial awareness regarding costing, budgets, and quotations
- Experience in site visits to verify construction compliance
Additional Details:
- Salary depends on experience
- Part-time: 5 hours/week, Monday - Friday
