Job summary

HDR, a leading engineering consultancy, seeks a Structural Engineer to contribute to various projects such as data centers and commercial offices. You will be responsible for designing structural elements, creating models, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications

About the Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will collaborate with various engineering teams to create detailed designs, plans, and specifications from concept to completion. You will support project managers by undertaking tasks on a wide range of projects, including but not limited to data centers, commercial/corporate offices, finance, education, hotels & leisure, and mixed-use developments.

About You

We are looking for someone passionate about Structural Engineering, who thrives on complex challenges, creative collaboration, and impactful projects. A personable self-starter with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, maintaining good working relationships. Someone who enjoys working across disciplines and establishing excellent rapport within the team, business, and with clients.

Responsibilities
  • Design structural elements for various projects
  • Create models, calculations, and drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla, and ETABS
  • Liaise with design teams to produce coordinated, compliant designs
  • Undertake structural survey works and produce reports
  • Bring innovative thinking to complex engineering problems
Preferred Qualifications
  • BEng, MSc, or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in Structural Design within a design consultancy (experience on Data Center projects is highly advantageous)
  • Proficiency in computer modeling (Revit), CAD drawings, and effective communication with other consultants
  • Good knowledge of project and design analysis software, preferably Revit
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Previous structural engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar software
  • Experience with architectural/engineering or consulting firms
