Job summary

A UK-based engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a collaborative team in delivering complex infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include working with clients to produce design solutions, preparing specifications, and providing site supervision. The ideal candidate has strong structural engineering knowledge and experience in commercial design. A full UK driving licence and valid passport are required. This role is based in Surrey with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of structural engineering, including infrastructure design, steel design and concrete structures.
• Strong commercial design experience.
• Full UK driving licence and a valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and produce robust design solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications and documentation.
• Review and comment on third-party and contractor designs.
• Provide site supervision support and monitoring.
• Prepare technical reports and design studies.

Join a collaborative engineering team delivering complex infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas as a Structural Engineer. We’re looking for a confident team player with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. This role is based at our head office in Surrey and includes occasional short international trips for progress/design meetings.

• Prepare technical reports and design studies

Experience

• Strong knowledge of structural engineering, including infrastructure design, steel design and concrete structures

• Design experience in quay and/or bridge structures would be advantageous
• Concrete and building design
• Preparing project cost estimates
• Developing technical specifications
