Structural Engineer

GPW recruitment are recruiting a Structural Engineer for a reputable Engineering and Projects Delivery business specialising in the design, installation, management and consultancy of bulk material handling systems.

Reporting to the Head of Civil / Structural at their Adlington office, the purpose of the Structural Engineer role is to ensure that Civil/ Structural designs meet the highest standards with regards to safety, code compliance, scope alignment, quality, cost, and on-time delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Engineering (Civil or Structural)
• Experience working in a Civil / Structural Engineering field.
• Knowledge of the construction & process industries and applicable standards.
• Ability to use structural analytical software unaided (STAAD Pro or TEKLA Structures preferred).
• Understanding of load cases and combinations, and ability to deduce that structures are behaving as intended through calculation or analysis.
