Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our client based in West Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying sites and designing steel, timber or RC frameworks for various domestic and housing developer applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or near-qualified chartered engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints.

- Design and develop structural frameworks using steel for residential and housing projects.

- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and compliance with regulations.

- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications.

- Review and approve project documentation and ensure adherence to quality standards.

- Provide technical support during the construction phase as needed.

Qualifications:

- Newly qualified or near-qualified chartered engineer status.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design.

- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.

- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
