Job Description

A leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke construction solutions to the Education and Healthcare sectors is seeking a Structural Engineer on a permanent basis. The Structural Engineer will ensure the engineering development process meets customer requirements and will support customer interactions around design and specification.

Location: Commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Nuneaton, Stratford-Upon-Avon

Salary: Negotiable + Excellent Benefits including Pension and Private Medical Plan

The Role

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for shaping design solutions for customers within the offsite manufacturing space, including creating manufacturing and site construction drawings using Revit, Graitec, and Tekla.

Working at specification level, you will build strong partnerships with customers to ensure effective design outcomes. The Structural Engineer will handle technical detailing on projects, maintain high cost awareness, and take ownership of projects as a Technical Lead. You will play an active role in streamlining project efficiency and ensuring that design content is accessible and simplified.

You will visit sites as required and engage in regular in-person and virtual interactions with customers and stakeholders.

The Person

The successful candidate will possess a degree in an engineering discipline and be highly skilled in structural design, including advanced use of Revit, Graitec, and Tekla. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential, along with flexibility to visit customer headquarters and construction sites.

You will create high-quality design content accessible to all stakeholders, demonstrating commercial awareness and feasibility. Previous experience in offsite construction is highly advantageous, especially in manufacturing collaboration.
