Job Description

I am currently working with a Lancashire based multi-skilled, multi-office consulting engineering company who require an experienced with the confidence, ability & initiative to lead a number of projects and meet the needs and demands of various high-profile clients.

The role:

• In this varied Structural Engineer role you will be responsible for supporting our Principal engineers and Directors across the group by producing detailed structural calculations, sketches, construction drawings and specifications
• You will also be responsible for costings, budgets, quotations and report writing.
• You will carry out regular site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings

Requirements

• Ideally you will have a minimum of three years’ UK experience of Structural design within residential and commercial buildings. This experience will include steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry construction to Euro Code standard
• You will be Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Master series and TEDDS design software and be able to produce detailed structural calculations, sketches, construction drawings and specifications
• You will be able to obtain full UK security clearance
• You will have a thorough understanding of commercial awareness with regard to costing, budgets and quotations
• You will have a strong focus on client satisfaction
• You must be self-motivated and driven by a challenge
• You will be willing to work towards or nearing Chartered Status Benefits
• You will ideally also have an understanding of STAAD.Pro, SCIA and Revit
