Job description

Are you an experienced structural engineer from a building structures background looking for a new role in the Cheltenham area?

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced engineer. Individuals can expect to take responsibility for the design and delivery of their own projects. This role is with an established civil and structural engineering consultancy with close ties to the IStructE and ICE. This connection presents significant opportunities for technical members of the team.

Projects are diverse and challenging, ranging from bespoke grand designs to £30m battery storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detailed design and analysis duties on a variety of buildings from various sectors up to £30m in value
  • Point of contact on your own projects
  • Liaising with and providing direction to more junior members of the design team
  • Communicating with contractors and architects
  • Liaising with clients and answering queries
  • Attending site meetings
  • Agreeing fees and billing
Essential Skills
  • A relevant degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Experience with industry-standard software such as Fastrak, Tedds, and Tekla
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of the design process
  • Essentially, we are looking for a commercially astute problem solver
