Structural Engineer - Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy

Location: Bradford

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + benefits

Type: Permanent | Full-time





A leading independent engineering consultancy is looking to recruit an experienced Structural Engineer to join its expanding design team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants to take on varied projects, grow their technical expertise, and be part of a friendly, well-established practice with a strong pipeline of work.



The firm works across a diverse range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, conservation, and industrial, offering innovative and sustainable design solutions for both new-build and refurbishment schemes.



Role Responsibilities

Deliver detailed structural designs using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
Contribute to the full project lifecycle - from feasibility and concept design to construction support and site visits
Work closely with internal civils, geo-environmental, and architectural teams to ensure integrated project delivery
Produce calculations, technical drawings, and reports for planning and construction
Attend client meetings, liaise with contractors, and manage ongoing project requirements
Support less experienced engineers and contribute to quality assurance procedures


Candidate Requirements

Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng/BEng)
Minimum 3 years' UK consultancy experience in structural design
Familiarity with design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, and AutoCAD/Revit
Knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ideally chartered or working toward chartership (IStructE or ICE)
