Job description

My client is currently on the lookout for a talented and passionate Structural Engineer with commercial experience in the construction industry!

Structural Technicians are responsible for creating 3D models using Revit, as well as creating 2D GA’s directly from the model. All models and drawings are to be produced in conjunction with the quotation, scope, deliverables, and in line with requirements.

Key Functions of the role:

• Efficient and precise 3D models using preferred software (currently Revit), aligning with project requirements and client design specifications.
• 2D & 3D drawings for manufacturing purposes.
• Accurate general arrangements (GA), layouts, sections, elevations, and details to meet project-specific standards and client library requirements.
• Accurate utilisation of design information on client portals.
• Adherence to design program durations when necessary.
• Effective design support to manufacturing and construction teams, delivering prompt and clear responses to queries and information requests.
• Management of control documents and timely raising to maintain program and budget integrity.
• Usage of digital systems.
• Incorporation of third parties' comments on drawings.
• Completion of any other reasonable duties instructed by the Company. Understand project goals and identify opportunities for optimal solutions.
• Clear and concise communication internally and externally.
• Daily tasks and outputs, providing necessary reports.
• Prioritisation of tasks.
