Job summary

European Active Projects Ltd in Chatham is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Draughtsperson/Detailer to join our team. You will produce detailed GA drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures and Revit, working closely with design, fabrication and project management teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.

The role includes site surveys, accurate measurements, and preparation of fabrication packs, with a focus on precision and timely drawing

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel detailing or draughting.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures and/or Revit.
• Experience in carrying out site surveys and taking accurate measurements.
• Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed fabrication and GA drawings for structural steel projects.
• Create and maintain accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures and/or Revit.
• Carry out site surveys and accurately measure existing structures and site conditions.
• Translate site survey information into accurate drawings and 3D models.
• Prepare fabrication packages, including assembly drawings, single-part drawings, and material lists.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, site teams, and the workshop to resolve design queries.
• Assist with project coordination and ensure drawings are issued within programme deadlines.
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

We are looking for an experienced Structural Steel Draughtsperson / Detailer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate structural steel drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures and/or Revit, while working closely with our design, fabrication, and project management teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.

• Produce detailed fabrication and general arrangement (GA) drawings for structural steel projects.
• Create and maintain accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures and/or Revit.
• Carry out site surveys and accurately measure existing structures and site conditions.
• Translate site survey information into accurate drawings and 3D models.
• Prepare fabrication packages, including assembly drawings, single-part drawings, and material lists.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, site teams, and the workshop to resolve design queries.

Requirements

• Previous experience in structural steel detailing or draughting.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures and/or Revit.

• Good understanding of structural / architectural steel fabrication.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
