You will develop innovative, cost‑effective designs from concept to prototype and production, working with customers and cross‑functional teams to meet specifications, quality standards and manufacturing needs. The role emphasizes creating robust 2D/3D designs, optimizing material use, and ensuring designs are ready for tooling and production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural or packaging design.
• Strong CAD proficiency with SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing or packaging is advantageous.
• Knowledge of blow moulding processes and rigid plastics is desirable.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand DFA.
• Good communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural packaging solutions for blow moulded products.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Manage projects from concept through prototyping to production.
• Ensure designs suit blow moulding tooling and manufacturing constraints.
• Liaise with customers to capture briefs and requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, tooling, production and QA teams to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to reduce material use and improve sustainability.
• Maintain accurate drawings and project records.
