Job summary

Leeds-based engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Design Engineer on a permanent basis. You will work on projects across commercial, retail, residential and industrial sectors throughout the UK.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, reports, liaising with design team, and refurbishment work. A Masters or degree in Civil Engineering is required with consultancy experience on UK projects. Excellent career progression opportunities and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Master's or degree in Civil Engineering required.
Consultancy-based experience as a structural engineer on UK projects is desirable.
Experience with structural analysis and design software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
Prepare high quality technical reports including dilapidation reports and due diligence surveys.
Undertake analysis and design using software packages (e.g., CSC Fastrak, TEDDS).
Ensure quality and consistency of drawings and reports.
Liaise with and lead other design team members to achieve a coordinated solution for clients.
Work on small to medium refurbishment and building extension projects.
