Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking a Structural Design Engineer on a contract basis. You will be responsible for designing steel connections, liaising with site teams on construction sequences, and ensuring all material types are utilized in designs. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and the ability to handle engineering negotiations with clients effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Structural Engineer.
• Experience designing with various materials is essential.
• Knowledge of designing temporary works is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction sequences and identify temporary structure needs.
• Design work of steel connections and produce relevant drawings.
• Rationalise designs with client engineers and negotiate changes.
